Mucha Moon Metal Cigarette Case

Alphonse Mucha Moon Cigarette CaseAlphonse Mucha created the series of decorative panels, "The Moon and the Stars" in 1902. By design the series of images were not as stylized as his earlier works. On this metal cigarette case you'll see "The Moon" (sometimes called Clair de Lune) from the series, with the background taking on a blue background in a departure from the coffee brown of the original design.

Alphonse Mucha Cycles Perfecta Mousepad

Posted by Alphonse Mucha at 4:26 PM 0 comments
Alphonse Mucha Cycles Perfecta MousepadAlphonse Mucha's active period coincided almost exactly with the popularity spike of those new-fangled bicycles that the kids were so into. So it's surprising that Mucha did so few different posters for bicycle manufacturers. One work that stands out as one of his best was done in 1902 for Cycles Perfecta. It featured a beautiful girl in flowing Mucha style leaning over the bicycle handlebars. Her long hair blows in the wind and her ruffled blouse falls off her shoulder.

Alphonse Mucha's Summer Wall Clock

Posted by Alphonse Mucha at 11:47 PM 0 comments
Mucha Summer Wall ClockWe absolutely love this, a cool 10-inch wall clock featuring wonderful vintage artwork of Alphonse Mucha. Summer was a work Mucha did as part of the Four Seasons set of 1896. In this clock the lovely lady resting on resting on arching vines has been incorporated into the clock face design, over Roman numerals and appropriate background. This would be great for any Mucha lover's wall.
