Mucha Moon Metal Cigarette Case

Alphonse Mucha created the series of decorative panels, "The Moon and the Stars" in 1902. By design the series of images were not as stylized as his earlier works. Alphonse Mucha Cycles Perfecta Mousepad

Alphonse Mucha's active period coincided almost exactly with the popularity spike of those new-fangled bicycles that the kids were so into. So it's surprising that Mucha did so few different posters for bicycle manufacturers. One work that stands out as one of his best was done in 1902 for Cycles Perfecta. It featured a beautiful girl in flowing Mucha style leaning over the bicycle handlebars. Her long hair blows in the wind and her ruffled blouse falls off her shoulder.

Mucha's Iconic JOB Papers Woman

One of the more enduring images created by Alphonse Mucha was the JOB Papers girl with the voluminous spaghetti curls. The original lithographed poster was created in 1896 and to many it epitomizes Mucha Style. Here's a great reworking of the JOB Cigarette Papers design on a black 4.3 oz. combed cotton tee.
